2021 at Alca Line Bride.

2021 was such a huge year for the Alca Line Bride brand - both professionally and personally. To make it through to December ‘21 owning a small business within the Wedding industry and still be smiling and laughing (because if you don’t laugh you’ll cry, right?) is huge! So we thought to share with you some insight into us and the year that was……

Designer & Creative Director, Amy, made the decision to focus on production (because being Australian-made is a whole lot of work in itself) and early in 2021, closed the doors to the flagship boutique in Sydney. Amy is so grateful to have been able to meet her incredible brides face-to-face, but for those she didn’t get to and to all the future Alca Line Brides, this is a big ol’ hello! We appreciate you! Never fear, we have left you in the best of hands with our truly amazing stockists that can fulfill your Alca Line dress dreams.

Our OG Perth stockist NOA Bridal was joined this year by Bluebell Bridal in Melbourne, Homestead Road Bridal Co. in Tamworth, NSW and Avenue Bridal in Albury, NSW. We also can’t wait for our permanent samples to hit the racks of the beautiful Hope X Page in Sydney at the beginning of 2022. We love our Alca Line Bride family and we’re so excited for what 2022 has to offer.

Speaking of family… the Alca Line Bride real-life family grew in 2021. Amy and her husband welcomed their first daughter in April and gosh she’s a darling (and yes, her favourite colour is lavender). Becoming new parents is confronting and challenging, especially when in the midst of a 107-day lockdown in Sydney. But everyone made it out the other side and were grateful to spend that extra time at home with bubs before returning to the workroom.

No time to rest… (sleep is overrated anyway and don’t we know it!) September saw the re-introduction of the Alca Line Bride brand. We were super proud and excited to launch the new look…. Same Alca Line Bride you all know and love, now just with the branding to match.

There is no better time than in the midst of a pandemic, to be reminded that behind every small business, there’s a face, a family, someone working their ass off and taking every little thing personally. A massive shout out to all the small business owners for their constant hustle over the last 12 months. It ain’t easy but we keep going every.single.day, blood, sweat and tears. Be proud! We sure are!

What’s on the cards for 2022? We’re busy bees locking in dates for Trunk Shows, within Oz and abroad (ekkk!). Keep an eye on our socials for when and where. We’ll soon take to the drawing board and can’t wait to share sneak peaks of a much-anticipated new collection.

To our brides throughout this year… Thank you for choosing Alca Line Bride. Send us your photos or tag us! We love seeing our brides on their big day, it always feels like Christmas when we see photos land in our inbox!

And on that note, we hope you all have the most amazing Christmas holidays with your nearest and dearest. Keep on belting out Mariah (like we are on the daily), stay safe and we will see you in 2022!
